Nash CC - Spring 2013

The Kappa Alpha Chi chapter at Nash Community College is on a roll!  So far, this has proved to be a very successful year for our chapter. Members have been very busy working on completing individual and chapter goals and projects to prepare for the State Leadership Conference in Charlotte.

Our chapter really took advantage of PBL Week on our campus. Our college had Club Awareness Day during PBL Week so this worked out great! Members distributed brochures and bookmarks, informing fellow college students about the benefits of joining PBL. The club also designated a day for members to dress in business attire to exemplify the professionalism of the organization and what PBL stands for.

Our chapter also celebrated Advisor Appreciation Day by giving thanks to the chapter advisor for her support and dedication. Members awarded the advisor with a plaque, gift card, and balloons that made her day. The members of the Nash Community College PBL chapter are grateful for all the enthusiasm, hard work, and sacrifices made to make this year a success!

Nash CC Fires Up Community Involvement

In preparation of a new and exciting year, our local chapter made a goal to become more involved in our schools and communities. Our Nash Community College chapter is really fired up about all the great opportunities to be involved in service, education and progress. On September 20th, Nash Community College's Student Government Association hosted a Club Awareness Day to allow students on our campus to learn more about student organizations. Our chapter had an information booth setup and members passed out brochures about PBL and talked with prospective members about how they can get involved. This was a great event for Nash Community College and our local chapter! We gained new members and brought awareness about PBL to the students on our campus. Not only did our chapter use this event to recruit new members, we also used it as a fundraising opportunity to sell 50/50 raffle tickets. While Club Awareness Day was important for our chapter, we also made time for two of our chapter members to attend the Kick-Off at Barton College. It was a motivating experience and allowed us to connect with other chapters in our region.

Our Nash Community College chapter is on the road to excellence! Our newly elected chapter officers are looking for ways that we can Ignite Innovation on our campus and in the community! Our local chapter slogan this year is "We Can Achieve!" We plan to achieve excellence by completing the TLLA, obtaining the Gold Star Chapter Award and having our members complete CMAP.
